What is the best open unit to hunt deer in Utah?

For those of you who don’t know that State of Utah has now decided to sell an unlimited amount of turkey tags over the counter for Utah.  Do you think this is  a good idea? Will it completely diminish our turkey numbers or is this a positive idea to cut back on an overly populated animal?

I have heard a lot of hunters complaining about Utah’s deer herd.  Mostly people are talking about how they don’t seem to see as many bucks as they used to.  My experience is that I am seeing less bucks, but the bucks I am seeing are bigger.  My question for you hunters is  whether or not that trade off is worth it.  Is it okay for Utah to have less, but bigger bucks?  Do you think this is actually the case?  Let us know your thoughts.

What do you hunters that are already involved in the Dedicated Hunter program in Utah think about the recent changes.  Is it fair the DWR wants us to do even more work hours?
